Ago Review:
Ago in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino features Tuscan-style Italian food in an upscale, white linen tablecloth setting. The creation of restaurateur Agostino Sciandri, Ago draws in A-list clientele and swank food enthusiasts alike. In fact, Robert De Niro liked the restaurant so much he became a partner.
Ago features fresh salads like insalata di carciofi containing raw baby artichokes with salad frisee, shaved parmesan cheese and a lemon dressing. The restaurant's appetizers include steamed octopus with potatoes and string beans in an olive oil dressing. For entrées, Ago offers Branzino ai Ferri con Pane Profumato, a wild Mediterranean sea bass filet, grilled in aromatic breadcrumbs with vegetables and salmorglio or the Piccione al Forno con Patate e Funghi Selvatici, whole roasted squab with shallots and wild mushroom ragout in his own jus. A selection of soups, pizzas, and pastas are also offered.
