Alexandre Caugant's reputation for innovation has made him one of the hottest fashion designers of today. He is one of the reasons Antik Denim and Life & Death have won the affection of some of the limelights hippest stars. He has the ability to invent designs that revive the past, transition into the future and connect with people. Describing his designs, Alex caugant says, "I bring out something different all the time. I like to surprise and keep it fresh." Alex Caugand began his career working at a Levi's store in his hometown of Marseille, France, and developed original screen prints on T-shirts for fun. After that, he went on to pursue a career in Visual Merchandising throughout the South of France. In the early 90's, he moved to Paris to work for the successful brand Chevignon where he added a vintage flair to their designs. Other companies in the fashion business: Guy Azoulay (Chevignon), Christian Audigier (Von Dutch), and Jeannot Elbaz (Chipie). He claims that modesty and being open to learn new things are the secret to success. Alex Caugant's dream of seeing his own brand sold in stores worldwide was to be realized in 2004. However. before arriving in Los Angeles where he currently resides, he traversed South America, China, Japan.

His goal was to incorporate the beauty and passion of these different cultures, traditions and life into his works. He developed sexy silhouettes for women of all sizes. For example, in Brazil, he perfected the ever popular super low jean. In Columbia, with the high profile brand Goa, he invented his signature stitching for customized jeans.

Alex Caugant is best known for his perfectionism and attention to detail in every design. He remarked, "I have acheived one of my goals, to make a true denim line that suits everybody." Regarding whar inspires him, "I believe fashion is on the street, fashion is people. The media also inspires me: television, movies, and music."

Alexandre Caugant proudly introduces his new inspirations AC Collection and AC Jeans. The influence and theme of these lines are both on a futuristic and technoglamourous plane.

AC Jeans exemplifies Alex's knowlege of denim. The women's line exudes sexiness through clean sophisticated washes, an array of new color denims and the use of both bi stretch and high power denim. It's irregular contruction transforms from the five pocket denim to he new age of tailored pants. The men's line is in a raw class of it's own. A mixture of specialty threads, fabrics combinations and innovative waxing and coatings. The creative use of trim and artistic washes add a fashionable aesthetic touch.
