In Vegas, headline acts have always ruled the marquee. The filler acts kept the audience's interest between costume and set changes, receiving little publicity.
No more.
Now, those filler acts prove themselves headline-worthy in V -- The Ultimate Variety Show.
Hosted by "Two Funny Guys" Mario and Daniel, the show offers a smorgasbord of talent, from magician Jason Byrne who manages to make birds appear from thin air, to the Russian duo of Yuri and Nicolai who balance on each other in various positions with amazing strength and ease.
Strip veteran Michael Holly provides comic relief in the show as he displays his juggling skills, tossing everything from bowling balls and M & M's to axes and apples, while managing to take bites from the fruit.
Aerial Adage provides high-flying entertainment as Cathy and Cees create poetry and romance in the air. With bodies intertwined, the couple effortlessly floats high above the audience as they strike various poses symbolizing the love between a man and woman.
Another Vegas veteran, Joe Trammel, closes the show with his high-energy act. Trammel runs frantically across the stage lip-synching to songs from the Village People to The Little Mermaid, while acting out each character with the accompanying costumes. Whether he is decked out in a "wardrobe malfunction" bustier or a Richard Simmons work out suit, Trammel covers the gamut of entertainers from Elvis Presley to Ricky Martin, while poking fun at media phenomenon William Hung of "American Idol."
Beginning with a drummer suspended from a mounted drum set on the wall and concluding with the entertaining Trammel, V -- The Ultimate Variety Show truly provides the ultimate mix of talent, appealing to audiences young and old. |
